Scanning the past
Recently my mate Tony has asked me to scan some old colour slides of photos taken by his Grandad. I jumped at the chance for three reasons, first of all I like to do this sort of thing, as it makes the inaccessible, accessible (as he doesn’t have a projector). Secondly It justifies the cost of my expensive film scanner, and thirdly all the slides were shot in the legendary Kodachrome.
I was around his house recently (well sensibly distancing in the back garden anyway) when we started talking about his Grandad’s old cameras and and slides that he had been bequeathed . All the cameras and slides were in near perfect condition as they have obviously been well looked after.
